WILDFOWL & WETLANDS TRUST (WWT) SUMMER RAFFLE 2017 (“The Raffle”) – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Participation in this raffle costs £1 per raffle ticket.
  2. Please note that some Credit Card issuers charge a cash advance fee for Gaming Transactions when played online, if in doubt check your Credit Card T&Cs or use a debit card.
  3. This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).
  4. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years.
  5. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 they will be refunded, exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize.
  6. Employees of WWT, who are directly involved in this raffle, are ineligible to enter this raffle.
  7. Monies raised by this raffle will support the general work of WWT, Registered Charity in England & Wales no. 1030884 and Scotland no. SC039410.
  8. Payment for participation in the offline raffle can be made by cheque payable to WWT, credit/debit card.
  9. To enter the online raffle, tickets must be purchased by credit/debit card from our website: http://rafflewwt.capen.co.uk/
  10. When you purchase a ticket/s for the online raffle, a unique ticket number/s will be issued and displayed on-screen at the point of purchase. Confirmation of the ticket number/s will also be emailed to the address supplied during the ticket purchasing process.
  11. In order to promote responsible gambling a maximum of £100 worth of tickets may be purchased by any one person during any one raffle event.
  12. The number of raffle ticket purchases are limited by channel as follows:
  13. Mailed tickets sent to any one address which is not that of a member of WWT to 2 books (value £20).
  14. Mailed tickets to previous raffle players is limited to a maximum of 5 books (£50 value).
  15. The number of tickets available via additional request is limited to a further 5 books (£50 value).
  16. The number of tickets available to purchase in one go online is limited to £50.
  17. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.
  18. WWT accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  19. Any ticket entries received after the closing date of 6 September 2017 will be considered as donations to WWT.
  20. 21 raffle tickets will be drawn at random on the draw date of 14 September 2017.
  21. The first ticket number drawn will win £3,000.
  22. The second ticket number drawn will receive £1,000.
  23. The third ticket number drawn will receive £250
  24. The 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th ticket numbers drawn will each receive £50
  25. A further 12 tickets drawn will receive £25.
  26. The Early Bird prize of £100 will be drawn in July 2017 and the winner will be notified in writing shortly thereafter.
  27. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  28. Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. A list of winners will also be published at wwt.org.uk/rafflewinners within two weeks after the draw date. Please keep the ticket number as proof of purchase.
  29. Where WWT is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following WWT’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, WWT may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.
  30. All winners are required to co-operate with WWT’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.
  31. WWT is registered with the Gambling Commission to operate this raffle; licence number 000-004679-N-315909-001. This licence is issued under Part 5 of the Gambling Act 2005. The person responsible for this raffle is Ray Clark.
  32. Requests for additional raffle tickets, requests to be removed from future raffle mailings, or any concerns about this raffle should be emailed to raffle@wwt.org.uk.
  33. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the organisers reserve the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible WWT will notify entrants of the error.
  34. Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on receipt of a request to: Sarah Maddrell, Summer Raffle 2017, WWT, Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, GL2 7BT.
  35. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion. 
  36. Capen holds all customer funds in a separate client account on behalf of the societies we act for and these funds are transferred to the society on a regular basis. All remote operators licensed by the Gambling Commission have an obligation to hold separate accounts for proceeds. This is to protect the player in the event of an insolvency incident.
